Children’s & Family Ministries

Luke 18:15-17 (NIV)

People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuffed them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly, I say tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

We at SBPC welcome children and desire to provide them a caring, secure and nurturing environment where they feel loved, have fun, be among friends, and thrive as they will grow in the knowledge of the Lord. Our Children's Ministry offers such programs for children Grade 5 and under where they can participate in fun, learning activities during the year.

At SBPC our Children's / Family Ministry (CFM) offers various programs and events throughout the year for children Grade 5 and under:

A Children's Sunday School - Kids, K - Grade 5, join us at 9:00 am Sundays and let's discover what we can find out about God and His Ways through Bible stories, object lessons and other fun activities.

Bridge Builders meets every first and third Friday night of the month from 7:00 - 8:30 pm (to coordinate with the Young Family Fellowship). Children meet with friends and enjoy group games, faith-building Bible lessons and snacks together, and once a month we have a special meeting with a specific craft, celebration, activity or family event.

Easter Season: The children learn about the Easter story of our risen Lord and enjoy a fun Easter egg hunt following the Easter morning service.

Summer - We usually host an all-Church fun event for children and adults.

Gingerbread House Event - in December: A funtastic time for the kids to gather and let their "creative juices" flow as they construct their unique Gingerbread Houses.
